The story about Two Chefs
In year of 1994 the childhood friends Billy Ågren and Daniel Shamir for the first time together to Thailand.
During that trip they fall in love with the country and it´s cultures. So they mad a promise to each other that they would return back in Sweden they continued their studies to be chefs in the town of Harnosand in the northern Sweden.
After completing their studies in 1999 they both had the opportunity to work as chefs in a restaurant in Phuket, Patong. At that restaurant they met a man named Henrik Öjelind he was at the time working in the service at the same restaurant
After 1 year as hard working chefs Billy and Daniel decided to try their luck and opened Two Chefs in Kamala on their own in the year of 2000.
The following year they moved the buisness to a new location in the south of Kata were they still are today. In the move from Kamala to Kata Henrik Öjelind joined the Two Chefs and became a partner
In the autumn 2004 the same year as the tsunami stroked Phuket, They opened a second restaurant in Pattaya, called Beefeater steakhouse and pub which Daniel still is running today.
In November 2007 Billy & Henrik, opened Two Chefs “number two”, in the north of Karon beach.
This came to be a very successful restaurant with many satisfied guests.
So in charge of the Karon restaurant was now Billy and in Kata Henrik was running the show.
15 October in 2008 we opened Two Chefs “number three” in Kata center, (north of Kata). A more modern and European design and its operated by the newest partner in Two Chefs: Krister Westberg.
